Time to Plant

Azalea- Azaleas - It is time to plant beautiful azaleas, and at Barton's we have a great selection of azaleas in several colors and sizes. Plant azaleas where they get afternoon shade, good rich acid soil, and good drainage. Plant at the same level they are when you buy them in their containers, add lots of peat moss to the soil, and keep watered. Azaleas have a shallow root system and and dry out easily. Mulch with 3-4 inches of bark or pinestraw. Fertilize and prune AFTER they bloom. Be sure that you use fertilome Azalea-Camellia Systemic Fertilizer. This contains systemic insecticide to help in insect control.

Roses - Barton's carries over 70 varieties of roses. Choose from Hybrid teas, floribundas, climbers, miniatures and 3 sizes of tree roses.
